This could also bring you a lot of readers from that blogger’s blog, because he or she will probably mention that they did a guest post at your blog. Some of their readers might then come to your blog to read the guest post.
Write articles and submit them to article directories
A lot of people have had great luck with this tactic.
Advertise
You could advertise cheaply with the Scratchback widget on people’s blogs. Some people are still selling these links for $1. They are ok with Google too, because they are “nofollowed”.
You could purchase PPC advertising, such as Google AdWords.
You could sponsor a WordPress theme, sponsor a contest, or any number of other things.
